Don't be afraid, come in, come in! But don't forget to follow some of my rules. 1.) Do not open the black ornate door on the first floor 2) don't mess with experiments in progress 3.) Please shut the door when training.... we don't need another incident with the window and last but not least 4.) Shut and lock the bathroom door before you go?

She smiled, “Well let’s see….” she thought, her mind traveling, “Let’s see, I don’t know how long i have been gone in your time but a year’s past in mine; we had a few more attempts by the Yarsice guild to the forests northern border but were easily dealt with, I traveled to the city of the Aerin, had some fun there playing tourist.”She chuckled,”And got a few of those scarves. I got to have a front row seat to the Harvest festival of the Liinock….Hm what else?”.

"Yuna, Elesmirit and I all had a birthday."Vertin smiled, quite happily; throwing in his own two cents to the discussion.

"Oh, Happy Birthday then!" he smiled, trying to remember the last time they spoke, it wasn’t too long ago…two months maybe three? Time is wonky when it comes to alternate timelines sometimes. "Wish i had a present for you, but other than candy and ice i don’t really have much to give."

"Thanks!" Elesmirit smiled, enjoying the thanks. "I don’t get that many people visiting me or wishing me a happy birthday, so that is fine with me." She smiled kindly again," So what have you been up to?"

"How long has it been since we were here?" Vertin asked, wondering something Elly was thinking.

"Not too long, just a few months." he replied "I’m pretty bad at telling time, but i’m pretty sure it’s been less than 6 months, and not much really, i just got off of a deployment to another world, some of our guys caught some super cold and were out for a few weeks so i had to go cover for them."

"Really? That sounds interesting, how cold was it? Was it really that bad?" She asked curiously, "I’m not used to seeing the colder climates, was it really that freezing there?" She asked, seemingly intrigued.

"Oh, no i meant cold as in sick." he explained "But it was a pretty cold world. It’s an odd one, every year it turns from a arctic wasteland to a burning desert then back again the next year." He chuckled slightly "Besides, being able to use ice magic, i’m kinda immune to extreme heat and cold, but the others were wearing super heavy duty clothes and were shivering like a Chihuahua."

Elesmirit chuckled, finding it very amusing, “Well, I can’t say I’m used to house calls but this 8th tier could cure a common cold like that.” She smiled, snapping her fingers as her smile grew a bit wider. ” But that sounds like a very interesting world. I would also have to say that you’re lucky that you can endure elements like that.”

"Yep, buuuut a downside is that i like fighting in my weapon form…and eletricity loves me but wont take a hint" he smiled

Elesmirit flinched at the mention of electricity, the sudden scene that played in her head reminded her of something she wished she hadn’t Though it didn’t stop her from attempting a smile, not wanting to ruin her host’s mood.” Well, perhaps some time you could visit ours? though it seems you go only if something dire happens….Hmmmm.” her voice trailed off, thinking of it.

"That would be nice to know. Alright ladies where are we going. Drinaug you and I can talk there."

As if on queue, the monkey women lead them away towards an area that looked like a special meeting area, a couple sumps around a pit fore a fire and surrounded by trees, though…

"No she didn’t. And honestely Drinaug…thats a story for another time." He said giving him a concerned look before looking to the one on his arm. "So I have to ask..why do you like me? After all this is the first we have spoken. My name is Ducaine by the way. Ducaine Katastrofeas."

"Your aura is exciting Ducaine! It has mystery! Exoticness! And it just pulls me in!" She spoke, very quickly as if that excitement caught her as well.

"Perhaps I can tell you as we travel, seeing as the Lady has neglected to inform you of something rather important."

"Yeteirna…. That’s my name…." the other one spoke from Drinaug’s arm, "Yteirnl is my sister…."

"Yteirnl will you please show me around?" He said looking down to Grinli. "Sis do you mind if she walks me around a bit?"

Grinli shook her head, not minding but turned her head suddenly as someone was heading towards the group.

"The 8th tier! The 8th tier! She’s Done it!" A Liidarsak man ran to them, seemingly out of breath, "She’s-She’s done it! She….Managed to cure one of the Aklolk!" He gasped, a tired smile, beaming across his face as he looked up at them.

"That’s wonderful ne~" Drinaug began to say as a truly happy expression showed on his face before a sharp scream came from the direction that the man had come.

Running hard in the direction Dinaug and he got there quickly. The whole village was there as they moved in. “What happened? Is everyone alright?”

As they arrived and broke through the crowed it was easy to spot Elesmirit on the ground, gripping her left arm as her face twisted up in agony, the recently cured Alkolk was holding her in his lap as he sat powerlessly, unable to help.

A few feet away was the elder, kneeling close by to try and see what had happened as well. “You two, come here!” He gestured to Drinaug and Ducaine, summoning them towards himself.

"Drinaug. See what he wants I’ma try to see if I have anything in my bag that can ease her pain." He said moving in coming to a slide in front of her. "here I’ll take her." Moving her to a bed he checked his bag like mad, finding nothing he moved to Drinaug. "What ya got for me dude."

"I-I’m s-sorry Ducai-aine." Elesmirit spoke through gritted teeth. "I w-was a li-little too for-forceful on the sec-ond one a-and it re-rebounded." She gasped, still holding tightly to her arm.

Drinaug looked at him a moment before getting an idea, digging in his pouch before taking out a tin of something. “Put this on her arm, it may help, quickly!” he said before turning back to the chief and the Akolk farmer.

Taking it up he opened the tin. Rubbing the compound on her arm he got a towel and wet it. Putting it on her forehead. “Don’t worry. Your gonna be fine. We’ve come to far and I took a knife to the spleen. You can survive this.”

Elesmirit let out a pained chuckle, ” Well Sha-Shadow tamer, that battle wa-was a lot tougher than mi-mine. I-I’ll be fine, I refu-fuse to die yet. Be-besides, it’s just a-a simple rebound.”

Drinaug walked over after finishing speaking with the chief, “Is it working yet?”

As if on queue, the monkey women lead them away towards an area that looked like a special meeting area, a couple sumps around a pit fore a fire and surrounded by trees, though everything was.

"Well, let’s see, I guess I shall just start from the top." Drinaug spoke as he took a deep breath in. "It would seem that the incident here occurred only a few weeks after the initial outbreak; though this is understandable due to the fact it does take time for illness to spread. Though it seems that our hunch was correct that it is only targeting the Alkolk people. They said the first ones to get hit were the fishermen that helped them here and then soon it effected the family’s of them and the Shaman. It seemed at first to hit like a basic cold before they noticed some very odd symptoms. Including the fact that it seems that if they got cut, their blood discolored to a very odd yellowing grey. Then, in the most severe case, there was vomiting of blood, they almost lost him but managed to stabilize him and they also quarantined him from the others to not worsen their case, it seems he was trying to study the water and repeatedly went back into the water, despite the various warnings from the beast tribe., who call themselves the Liisak, though the formal name is Liidarsak."

He added the last bit when the Liisak woman on his arm gave a squeeze to his arm, showing her distaste of the term ‘Beast-Tribe’.

"Okay were really gonna have to talk about this Beast-Tribe name calling…I mean I don’t sit here and call your people Fish-men. Its kind of insensitive." He said moving to put Grinli on his knee. "But I see what you mean…whatever is happening is coming from the water…deep inside. And depending on where it started from…this could just the latest in a long string of villages that have been hit by the illness." Trying to think it over he took a deep breath. "Drinaug let me go ahead and apologize. I think more clearly when I’m relaxed. So if I ever seem to be joking. Know I’m actually thinking intensely. If you ever catch me looking intense as I think. Just know that means I think I have a lead and Im running possibilites like a mad man." Looking to the Liidarsak on his arm, "So what’s your name and age miss?"

Drinaug nodded, “I understand. Though the ‘Beast-Tribe isn’t exactly meant as an insult, it is simply a catch all phrase that most have used for decades because it isn’t common knowledge to know a species name. Honestly, until today,I didn’t even know a tribe like this existed. I actually have a book with me that has the name of the twenty common known tribes. Though that aside, thank you for not calling me a fish-man, even without knowing our language.” Drinaug finished, the Liidarsak speaking now.

"I am 150 years old and no, I am not a child, I am an adult now." She smiled proudly, looking at the other on Drinaug’s shoulder as if she were looking at a child.

"You seem to have spent your first centuries well ladies." Drinaug complimented, then looked at Ducaine, wondering how he was going to react to her.

"There is no way your 150. You don’t look a day over 18. And I still don’t know your name." Though it sounded like a compliment he was trying to see if it was a joke.

Drinaug sighed and looked him up and down, “You really are an off worlder aren’t you? Did Lady Silverwing not explain to you the aging process of the people of this world?” He didn’t ask it with his usual attitude, but more of actual curiosity.

"That truly is my age, my name is Yteirnl, Ye-tier-null, not to be confused with Yeteirna, You-tire-na." She smiled again, flashing her canines.

Turning around he was blushing a little. “Well that settles that. Hello! Um why are you following me?”

"I like you." She said, seeming to have decent skill in the common tongue, "Stay here awhile, you came in with the 8th tier did you not? That means you’ll stay untill she’s done healing them all." She smiled, showing sharp canines in a big grin. To add to what she said, she latched onto one of his arms.

Blushing brightly he looked up to Grinli. “What do you think sis?”

"Stay…." She said as she held tighter on him, meanwhile the other held his arm tighter.

"Seems you have the same issue…." Drinaug sighed, gesturing to his own cling on. Though I could fill you in on the situation that the chief told me
